งานประเพณีที่สำคัญของจังหวัดสุริทร์

     ประเพณีแซนโโฏนตาบูชาบรรพบุรุษเป็นประเพณีสำคัญชองกลุ่มชาติพันธุ์เขมรในท้องถิ่น ซึ่งจะได้แสดงออกถึงความกตัญญูกตเวทีของลูกหลานที่แสตงต่อผู้มีพระคุณและบรรพบุรุาของตน โดยจะประกอบพิธีกรรมตรงกับวันแรม 14 ค่ำ เดือน 10 ของทุกปี และเมื่อถึงวันดังกล่าว ลูกหลาน ญาติพี่น้องจะนำอาหารคาว หวาน ของสด ผลไม้ไปไหว (จูนโโฏนตา) แก่ผู้อาวุโสเพื่อกราบขอพร ก่อนจะประกอบพิธีแซนโฏนตาและทำบุญเพื่ออุทิศส่วนกุศลให้แก่บรรพบุรุษที่ล่วงลับไปแล้ว

     san dhon tha festival is an important tradition of local khmer to pay homage to ancestors,this ritual will be held on the 14 th day of the waxing moon of the 10th lunar month every, during san don ta festival, people will stop working and come back home to meet their famity, they also bring food, sweets and fruits to worship their ancestors.
